Local Emergency Planning Committee
The Potter & Randall Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) implements the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA - 49 CFR 301-303) requirements for local communities. The LEPC is tasked with development of hazardous materials emergency response plans and providing information about chemicals in the community to the public. The Potter & Randall LEPC is formed as an interjurisdictional planning committee for these purposes with membership from key stakeholders throughout the two counties.
