| | Borrowed items can be returned to any Amarillo Public Library location 24 hours a day. Book drops are located at each library. Items may be borrowed from one Amarillo Public Library location and returned to another. |

| | Library cards are free to residents, property owners, and business owners within the Amarillo City limits and are available to non-residents for a minimal annual fee. |
| | Telephone Renewals |
| | Borrowed items can be renewed over the telephone unless there is waiting list for a particular item. |

| | Borrowed items can also be renewed at the library's website, www.amarillolibrary.org/search.html by using the library card number as the User ID and the PIN number assigned by the Circulation Department. |
| | Memorials, Endowment Funds, and Gifts |
| | Honor a loved one by establishing a memorial or endowment fund in his or her name, or donate a gift to commemorate someone special on a birthday, anniversary, or other special occasion. |

| | An advisory board of seven members is appointed by the Mayor and City Commission to ensure that Amarillo Public Library continues to meet the needs of the Amarillo Community. |
